This firmware update provides improvements to router performance for 3G and 4G connectivity.
Installation Instructions: Installing via web browser
1. Download the firmware file below to your desktop (recommended for easy file location).
3. Enter your password (the default password is the last six digits of the MAC id found on the sticker on the bottom of your unit).
4. Click on the "Tools" tab and the "Firmware" menu.
5. Go to the section titled "Manually Upgrade Router Firmware" and click the "Choose File" button.
6. Select the file you downloaded to your desktop (default name is u_mbr12.bin).
7. Click the "Choose File" button.
8. The router will now read the file, error check it and load it. The router will reboot itself and then begin running the new firmware.
9. Download the modem file below to your desktop (recommended for easy file location).
11. Enter your password (the default password is the last six digits of the MAC id found on the sticker on the bottom of your unit).
12. Click on the "Tools" tab and the "Firmware" menu.
13. Go to the section titled "Manually Upgrade WiMAX Modem Driver File" and click the "Choose File" button.
14. Select the file you downloaded to your desktop (default name is u_modem.bin).
15. Click the "Upload button".
16. The router will read the modem file, error check it and load it. The router will reboot itself once complete.
Installation Instructions: Installing via USB memory stick
1. Download the firmware file below to your desktop.
2. If necessary, rename the firmware update file to "u_mbr12.bin".
3. Copy the file to a USB thumb drive; do not place it into a folder but save it directly in the root. The thumb drive needs to be FAT or FAT32 formatted.
4. Power on the MBR1200 and wait for the WLAN and POWER lights to turn green.
5. Plug in the USB thumb drive into the USB port on the MBR1200.
6. The MDM light will come on and blink while reading the file off the USB thumb drive. When the MDM light goes solid for 3 seconds or more, remove the USB thumb drive.
7. The router will read the file, error check it and load it.
8. The router will reboot itself once complete.

10. If necessary, rename the modem file to "u_modem.bin".
11. Remove the "u_mbr12.bin" file from your USB thumb drive, then copy the "u_modem.bin" file to the USB thumb drive; do not place it into a folder but save it directly in the root.
12. Power on the MBR1200 and wait for the WLAN and POWER lights to turn green.
13. Plug in the USB thumb drive into the USB port on the MBR1200.
