Note: Downloading the software and completing the software upgrade process with your device may take up to 90 minutes. You will first need to ensure that you have BlackBerry Desktop Manager software installed on your PC before starting this download. If you need BlackBerry Desktop Manager software, go to the next section of this web page and download and install the software to your PC before following the steps below.
You must first determine if your device is an ESN or MEID device before proceeding with downloading the software update:
From your handset, go to the "Options" tool.
Select "Status".
If your device displays an MEID, select the link below "Download for MEID Device".
If your device displays an ESN, select the link below "Download for ESN Device".

Current Phone as Modem customers, download this software to create a connection between your computer and your phone using a USB cable. If Sprint SmartView is available for your device, we recommend installing it rather than this software or the built-in Bluetooth® connection. If you do not currently have a Phone as Modem plan you will not be able to use this service.
